Tools & checklists

Make a little room.
Make a better choice.

Put a few measurements to work before you buy. These small tools help turn “will it fit?” into something you can picture.

Will the stand and keyboard fit front to back?

Measure the depth of your desk and the footprint of the stand you’re considering. Add the keyboard and the gaps you want to leave. Use the same unit for every measurement.

Enter your measurements to try a layout.

Layout estimate: stand depth + keyboard depth + chosen gaps. This assumes the stand and keyboard sit one in front of the other without overlap. It does not assess posture, desk width, stability, cable bends or laptop compatibility.

Try it on paper

A 60 cm-deep desk, a 25 cm stand, a 15 cm keyboard and 10 cm of total gaps use 50 cm, leaving 10 cm front to back. This is an example layout, not a recommended clearance. Mark the real footprints on your desk and test your mouse movement too.

Small checks that save a frustrating return

Storage that actually opens

Measure the available space, the things going inside and the room a drawer or lid needs to move. Outside dimensions alone don’t tell the whole story.

A dock that does the job

A matching plug is only the start. Match your laptop’s port capabilities, screens, power and cables before you choose a dock.
