Black Friday Gift Watchlist 2026: know your price before the sale
A great find should still feel great after delivery. Pick a gift you’d be happy to give, set a ceiling for the whole order, and let the sale work for you—not the other way round.
Already choosing who to buy for? Our Christmas guide matches these gifts to readers, makers and game-night people. Here, the job is different: decide whether an offer is actually worth taking.
Your starting-price notebook
These are item-only USD prices recorded on October 21, 2026—not today’s prices, a lowest-price history or confirmed Black Friday deals. Stock, delivery and the final total must be checked in the shop. Match the exact kit and variant before comparing.

Is that offer better for your budget?
Compare the same basket, currency and delivery destination. Include tax, shipping and any extras you need in both totals. Nothing is fetched from a shop.
When a smaller sticker price costs more
Imagine an item was 20 in your currency with free delivery. A sale price of 16 plus 6 delivery makes 22 before any other charges. That is 2 more overall, even though the item price fell by 20%. Keep that distinction in view when a small craft gift travels on its own.
Buy now, wait, or leave it?
- Buy when the whole order works. The exact item suits the person, the delivered total fits your ceiling and the shop’s delivery estimate fits your date.
- Wait when you have room to wait. Record the current basket total and your last sensible order date. A cheaper kit is no use if it arrives too late.
- Leave the basket alone when the gift is wrong. An extra project, spare batteries or a bigger order just to unlock delivery can wipe out the saving.
For Christmas projects, leave time to make them as well as time for delivery. Check each shop’s return window, especially if the gift will not be opened until December.
