A small fridge batch can be a lovely morning shortcut. The trade-off is remembering to start it before you want the drink.

This is a plan-ahead coffee choice
Hario’s Mizudashi uses a mesh basket inside a glass pot: add appropriately ground coffee and water, then follow the maker’s refrigerated brewing directions. The selected brown model is the 600ml version, not the 1000ml pot or the separate tea brewer.
The pleasure is having a batch waiting when you want a cold drink. The limitation is just as clear: this is not an instant way to make coffee at the moment you remember it. Buy it for a routine you can picture, not simply for the idea of a tidier fridge shelf.
Give it a real spot in the fridge
Check the current dimensions for the exact size and mark where it will stand. Leave room to lift the pot out and to remove the basket during preparation. A space that only works after rearranging the entire fridge may become tiresome quickly.
Capacity is not the same as your finished serving count. Think about the amount you normally pour and anything you add afterwards. Start with the smaller batch if that suits how much you will use rather than buying volume for its own sake.
Make a repeatable first batch
Use Hario’s recipe and care guidance for the selected maker. Keep a short note of the coffee, amounts and brewing time so you know what to adjust next. Change one thing at a time rather than trying a new grind, coffee and ratio together.
Keep the brewing and finished coffee refrigerated as directed, clean the parts thoroughly and follow food-safety guidance. There is no reason to invent an extended storage promise just because the pot has a lid.
Cold brew or the V60 starter set?
Choose Mizudashi for a batch prepared ahead in the fridge. Choose a V60 if you enjoy making a hot pour-over when you are ready to drink it. The distinction is timing and method, not a claim that one automatically tastes better.
For a household where only one person drinks cold coffee, the 600ml option may be a more manageable starting point. For several people, calculate actual servings and check the larger model separately. The nicest morning shortcut is the one you can keep up without leaving forgotten coffee at the back of the fridge.
